I started my racing career in 1973 at the age of 16 working on my father's late model stock. We raced at Cayuga Speedway in Canada on Friday night, Holland Speedway on Saturday, and Sharon Speedway on Sunday. On Christmas 1974 my father  gave me the race car, motor, spare parts, and trailer. I race both dirt and asphalt in 1975 and 1976 on a limited schedule. In October of 1976, I sold everything and used this money to start Hover Racing.  In 1984, I built five race cars over the winter, all five won features, and one won a track championship. Over the next ten years, I built close to 300 race cars that won over 1000 features.  From 1989 through 1991, I ran my own dirt late model team, mostly racing the STARS Late Model Dirt Series and bigger paying non-sanctioned dirt events. I competed in 105 races, Winning 21 Races, 76 Top 5, and 98 Top 10 Finishes. During that time I had 3 different drivers; Larry Moore for the racing season of 1989 through 1990 and Davey Johnson was during the 1991 racing season and Paul Davis raced for me for a few select races.                                                                                                                                                           In 1992, I decided to change directions to form my own NASCAR Winston Cup team . I raced in the Rockingham fall race and went to Atlanta. I took off the entire 1993 season to build my own pit equipment and semi transporter. Once the trailer was finished, I prepared a down force car for the 1 ½ mile speedways and a super speedway car for Daytona and Talladega. In 1994, I was the youngest car owner in NASCAR at the age of 38.                                          I have raced in the ARCA series, and all 3 of NASCARS top series Sprint Cup, Nationwide, and Camping World truck series until the close of the 2008 season.              I was fortunate to be a car owner/crew chief that successfully competed at the two biggest stock car events in the world, on both dirt and asphalt. I finished 3rd  at the 1990 World 100 with driver Larry Moore at Eldora Speedway, and 19th at the 1994 Daytona 500 with  driver Jimmy Horton, and again 19th in the 1995 Daytona 500 with driver Joe Ruttman. I also qualified 6th and finished 7th in the 1997 ARCA 200 at Daytona with driver Gary Bradbury, and in 2003 qualified 33rd and finished 8th with driver Andy Hillenburg in the ARCA 200 at Daytona. I have raced from ¼ mile dirt to Talladega and everywhere in between. I also have a lot of road racing experience, K&N  and Sprint Cup at Watkins Glen, Nationwide at Montreal and Mexico City, ARCA at Watkins Glen, and Moroso Motorsports. I also worked on and crew chiefed a Trans-Am Team for Desert Sun Racing, running 2nd at Nashville Speedway and winning at Phoenix International Speedway in 2009.                                                                                                                 I have the experience and knowledge to service my customers on both asphalt and dirt to make you faster and your team better.
